El Infiernillo Pinot Noir

Loosely translated to ‘little hell’, Infiernillo gets its name from the Descabazado volcano. The grapes are sourced from cool climate vineyards in Casablanca, which borders the Leyda Valley, the grapes benefit from alluvial soils, a long ripening season and optimum diurnal temperature range. The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak.

This Casablanca-grown Pinot Noir has bright wild strawberry aromatics, which follow through on a palate of cranberry, and a touch of creme fraiche which finishes refreshingly crunchy and tart.

Goose and duck as a food match immediately spring to mind… but also great with mushroom-based dishes, BBQ meats and foie gras.
